Which Part Do You Need?
Proton Persona models use different aircond systems. You must confirm your system type before buying:
- Persona (2007–2016): Uses either the Sanden or Patco system. These are not interchangeable.
- Persona VVT (2016–Present): Generally uses the Sanden system.
Common Signs of Failure
If your Persona's cooling coil is leaking or blocked, you may experience:
- Weak or Warm Air: The aircond blows but never gets cold.
- Foul/Musty Odors: Bacteria or mold buildup on a damp, dirty coil.
- Hissing Sound: Heard from behind the dashboard, indicating a refrigerant leak.
- Water Leaks: Water pooling on the front footwell/passenger floor mats.
